Psych2go Local Boutique Expansion, Community Membership & Global Reach (Update #3)
Share
It's been almost a week, and I wanted to share an update on what we’ve been working on behind the scenes.
We’ve received about 10 orders from Canada for our plush toys! Thank you so much to everyone who supported us early on. We've shipped one order so far as we continue balancing other areas of Psych2Go. While order numbers were a bit lower than we originally hoped, we are immensely grateful for every single one of you.
As for the remaining plushies, they turned out so cute! To make them more accessible, we’re planning to stock them in local boutique shops like Makers or Dream Collections in Vancouver. This will help us cut down on shipping costs significantly while giving the brand great physical visibility.
Some of you suggested, "Why don't you guys do pop-up shops?" We love that idea! It proves how much you care about our vision. However, given our small team and focus on content creation, hosting pop-ups would require hiring staff and paying booth rent, which could end up being just as costly as shipping. Still, keep the ideas coming!
Lately, we’ve been refining the perks for our $1 membership. You can catch up on our initial concept in our previous post: Psych2Go Update 2.
We recently pitched this concept to three people, and they were genuinely excited about it. We believe a points-based system is a wonderful way to give back, reward long-term supporters, and build a community ecosystem that celebrates active contributions. Members will even have the option to donate their accumulated points toward future charitable causes and events we host.
Speaking of events, a few companies recently reached out to us via email to collaborate on upcoming projects, which is super exciting! We’ll share more details on those partnerships very soon.
In the meantime, we wanted to highlight that Psych2Go is active in several other languages! Recently, one of our animators asked if we were aware of our Indonesian channel. We certainly are! Beyond that, incredible volunteers have been building independent localized channels, including a Chinese version on psych2go bibili (chinese social) https://space.bilibili.com/203230674/.
We don't take any cuts or ad revenue from these channels. They are run by dedicated volunteers who share our dream of making mental health awareness accessible worldwide.
Here is the complete list of regional channels we’ve located so far:
-
Psych2Go Indonesia — Indonesian Mental Health Channel
-
Psych2Go Spanish — Spanish Mental Health Channel
-
Psych2Go Japan — Japanese Mental Health Channel
-
Psych2Go Korea — Korean Mental Health Channel
-
Psych2Go Polish — Polish Mental Health Channel
-
Psych2Go Mandarin — Chinese Mental Health Channel
Seeing all these global channels brings us a deep sense of fulfillment. Managing a channel requires significant time and financial effort, making it especially challenging for volunteers. Even when resources are tight, our shared mission to make mental health support universally accessible remains as strong as ever.
If you’d like to support our work and help us keep going, consider joining our $1 founding club membership. It truly means the world to us.
Lastly, we’re in early discussions to launch an institution offering psychology courses, certifications, and an exclusive mail club. These plans are still in development, but we can't wait to share more with you soon!
