Update #2: On Documenting the Journey & What’s Next for Psych2Go
Share
Right now, to manage the stress of planning and figuring things out, we feel the best approach is to simply document the journey. As Gary Vaynerchuk often says, record even when you don't fully know what you're doing. Sometimes the journey itself is the answer, and sharing it transparently invites the right solutions.
Honestly, after launching our $1 Founding Member Club campaign, the response was incredibly heartwarming. So many of you stepped in to offer help and sign up. It means the world to us that you took the time to read our post, input your information, trust us, and believe in our vision for Psych2Go.
Our long-term dream for Psych2Go is to evolve beyond digital content and bring our mission into the physical world. We envision a day when you can walk into your local boutique, mall, or coffee shop and see Psych2Go wellness products or experiences right there on the shelf. While we may not be aiming for the scale of massive retail brands like Prime or Feastables, seeing our mental health and wellness reminders in everyday local shops would mean we’re one step closer to making healing and support accessible everywhere.
When Psych2Go started 10 years ago, we didn't have a grand master plan. We simply wanted to make great mental health and psychology videos alongside talented artists from our own community. Over the years, we’ve collaborated with more than 100 artists, and some have been with us ever since. Watching everyone evolve, grow, and take their own paths has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.
A friend and mentor, Tom Wang, recently shared some insightful advice with us: "You don't need to think so far ahead, just start with the first step." While we’re exploring new ideas like wellness steam masks, our immediate priority is growing our community membership. Subscriptions offer sustainable, recurring support with low overhead, which lets us keep creating. As we learned with our recent plushie release, high shipping costs can easily put physical product launches in the negative. We’re still figuring out the best balance.
This led us to an idea: what if we make our plush toys part of an exclusive giveaway for members? Instead of dealing with high individual shipping barriers, a $1 monthly membership gives you a chance to win your very own plush toy while directly supporting our mission.
Here is the perk system we are building for our Founding Members to show our appreciation:
-
Earn 10 PSI Points for every month your subscription stays active ($1 = 10 PSI Points). Once you reach 100 points, you can redeem them for a $10 shop item (excluding shipping), donate them to a mental health charity of your choice, or save them up.
-
Enjoy an exclusive 3% discount on all items in our store. Our margins are intentionally kept low right now, but as we grow and order in bulk, we hope to increase this benefit!
-
Earn double rewards points (2 points per $1 spent) on all store purchases compared to non-members to help you accumulate rewards faster.
-
Gain entry into our milestone raffle draws for plushies and exclusive merchandise every time you accumulate 100 points.
-
Access our private weekly live streams where you can ask questions, hang out, and get answers directly from our team.
- Live streams Questions Prioritized
We will share additional perks and features as we grow.
You can join our $1 Founding Member Club on the Psych2Go Shop.
Other ideas we are currently working on include a coaching and peer support platform to connect our community with 1-on-1 guidance.
Thank you all for being part of this journey with us, step by step!
